Micro Media Announces our New Pro Bono Client: People Water

Micro Media Marketing is Proud to Announce their Latest Pro Bono Client: People Water!

Every 6 months Micro Media Marketing and myself personally will help a new Pro Bono Client with their Social Media!

For July-December 2012, we are excited to announce our latest Pro Bono Client: People Water. People Water gives clean water to People in need. The Reason this cause caught my attention is through The Bachelorette and Social Media. How could those two things have gotten me to this place? Well, I have been following this Season of the Bachelorette and Emily Maynard has a strong story about her life with daughter Ricky.

I got hooked and have continued to watch Emily find love. Among her potential partners one stood out to me in particular and that was Jef Holm. I saw that he was an "entrepreneur" and thought he reminds me of someone from New York. Someone like myself that started their own company in New York. So I decided to look Jef up on Twitter and Facebook. I saw on his Twitter: Jef Holm and People Water. That was it.

So I took a look at People Water's Facebook Page. I noticed they had a decent following but thought to myself as Jef continues on the show he will definitely gain a larger audience than he is used to and could use some of my advise. I learned this through working with other clients on National television and I was in for a surprise at the amount of growth they had with each episode airing. It is something you need to have a plan in order to keep up with on social media.

So I messaged Jef on Facebook, at this point it was earlier in the season and he did not have as many followers. To my surprise, he responded to my message. What struck a cord with me is that one of the main places People Water has helped is in Nicaragua. Some of you know me, and may know that my family is from Nicaragua. I have a charity I work with there but they are focused on a small area and not widely known. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to help Nicaragua.

More About People Water:
"For every bottle purchased People Water will give an equal amount of clean water to a person in need…… +DROP | FOR | DROP"

I will be helping develop People Water's pages, strategies, and training some of People Water's awesome people on how to best run their social media pages. I am sure that this great cause "Drop for Drop" will be a great success. I wish Jef the best of luck on The Bachelorette and finding love; he is currently a finalist and I am not surprised to see that.

How the Micro Media Marketing Pro Bono Package Began:
It is important to take time to give back as much as you can. I started by taking on one Pro Bono client last year. I know there is a need out there for companies big and small to grow and thrive through social media. There is nothing more rewarding than doing something you love to help a good cause. I started small with my Vet: Michael Animal Hospital he saved Spotty's life countless times and I thought it was time to start him a Facebook page. We ran cutest pet contests and targeted local clients for his Vet services.

How to Become Our Next Pro Bono Client:
If you have a nonprofit that needs social media help, please feel free to contact us and tell us about the cause. We would love to take on your charity or organization and will start looking at taking on a new Pro Bono client again in December 2012 to launch them from January-June 2013. If you have any social media questions please feel free to tweet me directly @MicroSteph, Thank you and please also Tweet @PeopleWater with any questions you may have about their awesome organization.
