Tribute to Steve Jobs Pumpkin
We love to decorate for Halloween at Micro Media Marketing. We set the office up with spider webs, candy and dress up as well. One thing that we spend more time on is carving our pumpkin. Last year we had an emoticon pumpkin but this year we wanted to geek things up a little better.
This Year, we decided to pay tribute to Steve Jobs on our Facebook page and create an apple pumpkin with him in it.
Want to pay tribute to Steve Jobs by carving a cool pumpkin of your own? Many people on Facebook were sharing our picture and asking how we carved the pumpkin. So we decided to share how we did it with our friends and fans. There is still time to go get a pumpkin and carve it for Halloween and carving your Steve Jobs Pumpkin only takes about an hour.
Items Needed:
1. A Big Round Pumpkin
2. A Carving Tool and a Scooping Utensil like a big spoon or even ice cream scooper
3. A Print Out of the Image
4. A Pair of Scissors
5. A Pen or Sharpie to Outline the Image
6. Tea light candle and a lighter
7. Camera or use your iPhone or iPad to take the pic!
Directions:
Just clean your pumpkin, and print out your image to the size that best fits the pumpkin. Carve an opening at the top of your pumpkin and empty out the inside of the pumpkin with your scooping utensil until it is hollow. Get your scissors and cut around the apple image and cleanly around the silhouette of Steve Jobs. Then grab your pen and trace the apple and silhouette be sure to make a space around the glasses for extra accuracy. Then begin carving the leaf and apple out and leave the detailing of the silhouette for the last part. Take a smaller carving tool for the details. Insert your tea light candle, light it, and take a picture to share on your blog or social networks.
Show your friends that you are a true apple fanboy/girl and tweet with the hashtag #beamac #geekout or any fun hashtags you can think of. When you post a pic online be sure to share it with us @micromediamktg or on Facebook.com/MicroMediaMarketing.
Shine on – Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
